Many varieties, fast growth, lush flowering - these are the characteristics that come to mind when someone starts talking about clematis.

However, there are still flower growers who do not risk giving away their hard-earned money for seedlings that sometimes do not look promising.

In this regard, the expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", scientist-agronomist, landscape expert Anastasia Kovrizhnykh hastened to destroy numerous myths associated with the plant discussed in this article.

The first statement, which should rather be called a misunderstanding, is that clematis supposedly has a poor survival rate.

Believe me, if you treat a seedling properly, the most puny sprout will be transformed beyond recognition within one season. What do we mean by proper treatment? Here it is worth mentioning such little tricks as preliminary soaking of the seedling in a root formation stimulator, as well as adding 1 glass of burnt manure, pre-mixed with soil in a 1 to 1 ratio, to the planting hole.

In addition, there are rumors that caring for clematis is problematic.

We will not deny this, but we will make an adjustment - clematis really should be given a little more attention than many other plants, but certainly less than, for example, roses. Therefore, if we talk about the capriciousness of the culture, everything is not so clear-cut.

Finally, sometimes you can come across the belief that in reality clematis do not bloom as profusely as in the pictures.

Please note: you will be able to fully enjoy the beauty of any variety only after two years, during which the liana is busy building up its root system. And then all that will remain is to ooh and aah at the sight of abundantly blooming liana.
