How to feed strawberries during flowering: there will be no end to the berries
In order for strawberries to fully reveal their color potential, they need to receive sufficient nutrients during the flowering period.
An expert of the online publication BelNovosti, agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh listed fertilizers that really have an effect.
First of all, it is worth noting that both organic compounds and mineral preparations are suitable for fertilizing strawberry plantations.
The best solution is to alternate them. Thanks to this, the soil will not deteriorate, and the bushes themselves will look more vigorous.
So, when strawberries are forming buds, they will benefit from a product called “Gumi”, which contains nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and a small amount of sodium.
Please note: this preparation is used once. The procedure can be repeated only if the strawberry bushes have been attacked by a serious disease.
Otherwise, the crop will cause excessive growth of green mass, when active fruiting is out of the question.
The same effect can be achieved after using Baikal EM-1.
If we talk about improvised means, we can’t help but mention ash. Preparing the fertilizer is easy: mix 0.5 l of ash in 10 l of water and water the beds every other day.
