Thuja is a popular plant for creating hedges because it is beautiful, evergreen and fast growing.
Thuja is also resistant to drought, frost and air pollution. If you want to grow a thuja hedge, you need to follow a few simple steps.
Selecting a landing site
Thuja prefers a sunny or semi-shaded location with well-drained soil. Avoid overly wet or salty soils, as they can damage the plant's roots. Choose a location where your hedge will not interfere with neighbors or the roadway. Also consider the height and width of the thuja when it grows, to leave enough space between the plants and other objects.
Preparing the soil

• Protect thujas from pests and diseases by regularly inspecting plants and removing any signs of infestation. Use biological or chemical control agents as needed.
• Mulch the soil around the thuja with straw, sawdust or bark to retain moisture and prevent weed growth.
