If you want to get a healthy plant, you should pay attention not only to the beauty of its inflorescences.
When choosing, be sure to inspect the entire seedling to make sure that its shoots are healthy and there are no cracks or rot - by the way, do not be shy about smelling the pot, so you can catch a putrid smell, if there is one, of course.
But to check the root system, the following trick will come in handy - lift the container and look at the bottom of the pot. You need the seedling with roots sticking out of the drainage holes.
This feature indicates that the hydrangea root system is developing as it should.
