For petunias to grow actively and bloom profusely, you don’t need much.
According to the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, scientist-agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , caring for petunia means watering it in a timely manner, removing faded buds, pinching the bushes and applying fertilizers.
Let's dwell on the last point.
In order to provide the flower with the substances it needs, experienced flower growers use (what do you think?) citric acid.
It is believed that citric acid normalizes metabolism, reduces the risk of many diseases, improves the appearance of the plant, eliminates iron deficiency and prevents chlorosis.
There are two types of fertilizers based on citric acid.
For the first option, you will need 10 liters of warm water, in which you should dissolve 3 teaspoons of the preparation.
In the second case, you need to mix 12 g of citric acid with 7.5 g of ferrous sulfate and dilute the resulting cocktail with 3 liters of cool water.
Both compositions are applied under the root in the morning or evening (approximately 1 l per bush) or used for spraying on the leaves on a cloudy and windless day.
