3 mistakes in growing petunias: don't be surprised by peeling bushes later

In fact, there is nothing complicated about growing a gorgeous petunia – of course, if you don’t step on the popular “rake”.
An expert of the online publication BelNovosti, agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh spoke about the mistakes that flower growers often make.
1. Ignoring haircuts
Almost all varieties of petunias need to be trimmed if you want to get green balls covered with flowers.
This procedure should be practiced throughout the season.
2. Lack of additional feeding
You can afford not to use fertilizer for petunias only if they were planted in soil that is well fertilized with compost, humus or peat - one bucket is needed per square meter.
And even then, such a quantity will only be enough for standard flowering, while petunias will not reach the level of luxury.
3. Using the same type of food
When applying fertilizers, remember that petunias like good fertilizers with different compositions, so do not be lazy in alternating organic and mineral compositions.
