Ants cause a lot of trouble for summer residents, regardless of whether they have simply settled in a garden bed or invaded a greenhouse.

It will only get worse. They will bring aphids with them from God knows where, and without prompt intervention, instead of a harvest, all that will be left is tears to collect.

We will tell you how to quickly and effectively get rid of both ants and aphids.

Every gardener knows that ants are the harbingers of the imminent arrival of aphids. It is better not to wait for them to go away on their own, but to throw all means into the fight against them.

Ammonia

An excellent option not only against ants, but also against a whole range of parasites. It has the ability to penetrate ant colonies and leaves no chance of salvation for anyone hiding there.

Insecticides

These can be powdered products or ready-made solutions. They act effectively, but they are used only in extreme cases, so as not to harm the soil microflora, without which the normal fruiting of cultivated plants will also only be a dream.

Boric acid

This remedy works reliably and is relatively safe if you do not abuse it. The acid is not used in its pure form, but various baits are prepared. It can be diluted in water and banana peel, boiled egg yolk or other food can be kept in this solution.

It is advisable to make a bait that the hard workers can drag into their burrow as a reserve and treat their relatives there.

Millet

The expectation is that the ants will drag the bait into their burrow, where the grain will inevitably become damp, moldy, and a general death will begin among the inhabitants of the colony.

Of course, these are not the most humane methods, but sometimes summer residents simply have no other options.
