From raspberries you can make classic jams or compotes, as well as pies, muffins, gingerbread, and cakes.

The berries are tasty and healthy, so many summer residents plant at least a dozen bushes on their plots.

In order for each plant to produce a large harvest, you need to select the right fertilizers.

When to fertilize raspberries

The first feeding is done in the spring, when the soil warms up. For example, mullein infusion is excellent as an organic fertilizer for raspberries.

In the second half of spring, additional feeding is carried out, which stimulates fruiting. In this case, ash is used. The third additional feeding occurs in the summer, and the fourth - after fruiting.

The best fertilizer for raspberries

In spring, raspberries need nitrogen. In this case, you can use mineral or organic fertilizer. In the first case, there are at least two excellent options:

  • ammonium nitrate – 1 tbsp per 1 sq. m. The fertilizer is evenly distributed over the soil surface and covered with a rake;
  • urea – 1 tbsp per 1 sq. m. Add in the same way as ammonium nitrate.

You can feed raspberries with organic matter:

  • mullein infusion (1:10) – 5 l per 1 sq. m.;
  • chicken manure infusion (1:20) – 5 l per 1 sq. m.;
  • humus – 3-5 kg per 1 sq. m.
