How to tell if your plant lacks phosphorus: look at the leaves

It's time to discuss mineral fertilizers - today we'll share with you a trick that will easily help you recognize a deficiency of such a microelement as phosphorus.

According to the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, scientist-agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , plants can experience a lack of phosphorus both at the initial stage, when it is required for the development of the root system, and at the stage of fruit formation, which is no longer a secret for anyone.

The most obvious sign that something bad has happened to the plants you lovingly grow is a change in the color of the foliage.

The leaves, which until recently delighted the eye with their emerald green, in this case acquire a purple color.

If you notice that vegetables or other crops have started to behave in this way, you can try to “cure” them with a mother solution of superphosphate.

To do this, dilute 200 ml of superphosphate stock solution in 10 liters of water.

One bush will need 0.5 liters of the resulting “life-giving” solution.

You shouldn’t delay the procedure – otherwise, the lack of phosphorus will affect your harvest in the form of small, deformed fruits or other problems.
