Raspberries not only have a unique taste, but also contain a lot of vitamins that strengthen human health.
Therefore, every summer resident who grows this crop always wants to get as many fruits as possible.
Experienced gardeners say that in addition to standard agricultural procedures, it is necessary to trim annual shoots of the bush.
This needs to be done in August in order to collect even more berries next year.
You need to prepare clean scissors or secateurs. The top of the shoot should be cut by 10-20 cm. It all depends on the shoot. If it is tall, then it can be shortened by 20 cm, but short ones should be cut by 10 cm.
As summer residents note, lateral shoots will begin to grow in the places where they were cut. By autumn they will get stronger, and next year they will be able to produce a harvest.
The procedure can be carried out in early August so that the side shoots appear by the end of summer. Then the side shoots can be pinched so that the top ends up more branched, and the harvest can be collected in buckets.
