Blooming hydrangeas can transform a garden beyond recognition, turning it into a branch of heaven on Earth.

However, to achieve lush flowering of hydrangea, the bush needs to be fed. Fertilizers will provide the plant with resources for lush flowering.

Fertilizers for hydrangea

Not all gardeners prefer to use purchased fertilizers. So, some prepare fertilizers from improvised means. For example, hydrangea likes compositions that contain lactic acid bacteria.

In 10 liters of water dilute 2 liters of kefir or fermented baked milk. Mix and water the bush strictly under the root. Before adding fertilizer, moisten the soil with ordinary water.

Hydrangea likes acidic soil. It grows poorly in neutral and alkaline soil. Therefore, gardeners periodically acidify the soil. For this, they use, for example, apple cider vinegar - 100 g per bucket of water.

Alternatively, use citric acid - 2 tbsp. per 10 l of water. Hydrangea is watered with acidic water throughout the growing season at intervals of 15-20 days.
