Dropping of cucumber ovaries is a fairly common problem from which no gardener is protected.

The danger of this phenomenon is that without ovaries, fruits will not form, and therefore, dreams of a bountiful harvest will have to be said goodbye to.

Therefore, it would be useful for any gardener to learn about the factors that can cause such behavior of the crop.

If the plant looks healthy, then first of all it is worth assessing the watering regime - the ovaries may fall off due to overwatering or, conversely, lack of moisture.

If it is hot outside, you should moisten the soil in the cucumber beds daily, pouring an average of 5 liters of water under each plant. You can reduce the number of waterings to once every two days if the temperature has dropped to 26 degrees.

The second reason is a lack of calcium.

Usually in this case the ovaries first begin to turn yellow - this should serve as a signal for you to apply calcium nitrate.

Fertilizer should be applied to damp soil once every 2 weeks. To do this, you will need to prepare a solution - for 10 liters of water, you will need 1 tablespoon of calcium and potassium nitrate. After 5 days, you can feed the cucumbers on the leaves.
