A few simple steps help experienced gardeners achieve tulip blooms that even Dutch gardeners cannot achieve.

Tulips will delight you with their gorgeous bloom if you pay them a little attention in the spring. The important moment is when the plants are just starting to sprout.

First, remove last year's mulch. First, this will help the tulips bloom earlier. Second, they are less likely to rot in overly wet soil.

Tulips can withstand slight frosts. If frosts are forecast, it is better to cover the flowers at night.

When the first shoots appear, gardeners loosen the soil. This way the roots get more oxygen. The probability of rotting is reduced to zero.

When the flowerbed is in order, fertilize it. For this, use ammonium nitrate. Use 20 g of fertilizer per 1 square meter.

After 14 days, the soil is sprinkled with ash, which is then carefully dug into the ground. It will both deacidify the soil and feed the plants. To make flowering last longer, gardeners water the tulips with a boron solution (1%).
