What fertilizer to apply to cherry trees in spring: works more effectively than manure

It is advisable to pay attention to fertilizing fruit crops before problems with the harvest begin.

In this regard, cherries are no exception. Over time, the berries may begin to become smaller, and their number may decrease year after year. But when it comes to fertilizers, you should not limit yourself to manure.

There are additives to which stone fruit crops react more actively than to this natural, but not always safe fertilizer.

So, in the very near future, dolomite flour will need to be added under the cherry tree.

It is usually used to deoxidize the soil, but few people know that it also has a positive effect on fertility.

Many summer residents apply dolomite directly on the snow. There is an opinion that together with melt water the fertilizer will penetrate deeper into the soil, which brings even more benefit to the tree.

To feed the cherry tree, you need to add one glass of dolomite flour to each square meter of the tree's trunk area.

The size of the tree crown will help determine the boundaries of the tree trunk zone.

The flour should be evenly distributed within these limits and then incorporated into the soil.

Thanks to the calcium in the flour, the cherries will grow twice as large. At the same time, dolomite normalizes the pH balance of the soil, which has a positive effect on the further growth and fruiting of cherries.

In addition to cherries, you can feed plums in a similar way.
