Those who are worried that they won’t have time to plant new raspberry bushes on their plot can breathe a sigh of relief – there is still time for this.

According to experienced gardeners, raspberries can be planted starting from mid-April and ending in May.

The main thing is to do it before the buds open on the plant.

Over time, we decided, now let's talk about what the planting site should be. Let's make it clear right away - the area where potatoes or tomatoes used to grow is prohibited.

If you plant raspberries in the sun, then in the summer heat you will have to water them often, so savvy plant growers allocate a shaded area next to a fence for the raspberry bush.

It is worth taking care of the place for planting raspberries in the fall, fertilizing it with humus or rotted manure.

The planting process itself is not complicated: just make a hole in the ground and place the seedling in it. Note: the hole should be large enough to accommodate all the roots. The root collar should remain at ground level.

Sprinkle the seedling with soil, compact it slightly and water the plants - 2 liters of water should be poured under each.

Then spread mulch in the raspberry patch and don’t forget to trim the seedlings, leaving 4-5 buds on them.
