In particular, by mid-April, you need to have time to treat the raspberry bushes from insect pests, and also replant the bushes, if you have such plans.
Spring processing of raspberries
Raspberries have many pests, and some parasites successfully overwinter in the soil.
Therefore, after tidying up the ground and pruning the bushes, it is necessary to treat the berry bush from harmful insects.
Most often, 3% Bordeaux mixture is used for this purpose. To prepare it, you need to dissolve 300 grams of powder in 10 liters of water.
The solution is applied to the bushes using a sprayer, and it is important to do this before the green buds appear.
Transfer
If it is necessary to transplant the bushes to another place or plant new varieties of raspberries, this must also be done before mid-spring.
It is believed that the bushes are transplanted before green leaves appear on them. On average, the deadline is April 15.
