Pumpkins are most often planted using seeds, but many people also use seedlings.

Favorable days

In addition to weather conditions, one should not forget about the recommendations of the lunar calendar.

So, in April you can sow pumpkin for seedlings on April 21 and 22, as well as April 25 and 26.

In May, this crop is planted from the 2nd to the 4th, 6th, 9th and 10th, as well as on the 13th and 14th.

In June, pumpkin seeds can be safely planted in the ground on the 20th-23rd and 25th-26th.

Place for pumpkin

First of all, pumpkin needs a lot of sun, the soil needs to be fertile, loose and light. This crop does not grow on clay and acidic soils.

If you plant pumpkin using the seedling method, then for the first two weeks after transplanting it should be covered with spunbond or burlap to protect it from the sun and night cold.
