Unpretentious honeysuckle grows in many summer cottages.
Over time, the bush's productivity decreases. Therefore, summer residents are looking for ways to rejuvenate honeysuckle.
Every gardener can do this. Honeysuckle is rejuvenated by pruning. Branches covered with lichens and mosses, old shoots on which the bark is already peeling off are removed.
As a result, only young healthy shoots are left, which originate from the root zone. This simple method can rejuvenate honeysuckle. But there is another way.
An effective but dangerous method for the plant. Not every bush will withstand this method. It is better tolerated by currants (red and black), gooseberries.
Gardeners do not recommend resorting to this measure if you do not want to lose the bush. Summer residents, in order to rejuvenate honeysuckle, cut the bush to the stump. They leave only 15 cm.
Soon, young shoots should emerge from the root zone. But this does not always happen. The older the bush, the less likely the method will work.
