Every gardener knows that raspberries are divided into regular and remontant.

Regular varieties are distinguished by abundant fruiting, which, however, only happens once a season, while remontant varieties are able to provide their owner with berries throughout the season. True, in small portions.

Regardless of what kind of raspberry grows on your site, it needs proper care.

First of all, you should approach the choice of the place where you plan to plant a raspberry patch with all responsibility. You will get a generous harvest only if you provide the crop with space and sun.

Important: the plot should be chosen in such a way that the raspberries are protected from excess moisture. It would not hurt to add peat to the soil - this way the beds will be light and fertile enough, and the harvest, accordingly, rich.

Fertilizers should be applied only in the 4th year after planting. Until then, foliar feeding will suffice.

Any raspberry needs pruning, but the procedure differs for regular and remontant varieties.

But both need pest control, and twice a year - in spring and autumn. The same can be said about disease prevention, for which a regular 3% solution of copper sulfate is suitable.
