What to plant next to a rose: options for a safe "neighborhood"

Roses reveal their full potential when they are in "proud solitude", but there are still plants that will not interfere with them.

When they want to fit a lot of plants in a small flowerbed, they “plant” these flowers with the rose.

Quite a few options can be found among annual plants. An important condition is "moderate size".

In addition, the rose and its potential “neighbor” must have the same needs for watering and feeding.

The capricious flower will practically "not notice" such plants. For example, next to the queen of the garden you can place aster, zinnia, snapdragon, calendula, low marigolds, sage.

They can be planted directly into open ground at the end of April – beginning of May, or as seedlings, having prepared neat holes.

There is an important caveat regarding "neighbors" for roses. Gardeners do not recommend creating a solid flower carpet around the plant. This, at the very least, complicates the care of the rose.
