When a fruit garden is threatened by pests, experienced gardeners are in no hurry to spray the plants with insecticides.
First of all, they use a time-tested trick that works well against aphids and their eternal companions – ants.
Even beginners have heard about tree trapping belts, but not everyone knows how to use them correctly against ubiquitous insects.
A trapping belt cannot be made for a young plant. The tree trunk must be at least 10 cm in diameter.
The insect trap is made at a height of 20-25 cm from the ground. First, a film is wrapped around the trunk to protect the plant. For this purpose, it is better to use food film, which fits tightly on the bark.
A sticky substance is applied to the film. For example, cockroach gel or any other similar product. You can treat a rag with an insecticide, for example, "Karbofos", and then tie it over the film.
