Mealybug on indoor flowers: how to get rid of the pest
A white coating that looks like cotton wool or felt on the leaves of indoor plants indicates the presence of mealybugs.
Small white insects that do not look like worms at all. These pests settle on leaves, stems, and roots.
If mealybugs are noticed on a plant, the flower must be isolated from other “green pets”, otherwise the pest will settle on them too.
To get rid of the parasite, gardeners use a natural remedy. An infusion is prepared from calendula - 100 g of flowers per 1 liter of boiling water. The liquid is infused for a day.
Before using the infusion, the plant should be wiped with a cloth and the bugs removed. The product is poured into a spray bottle and sprayed on the flower, and some is poured under the root.
According to flower growers, this remedy works in unadvanced cases. In more complicated situations, use "Tanrek", "Confidor" or "Aktara".
