But late-ripening ones, on the contrary, should be avoided – otherwise you risk being left without a harvest.
Experienced gardeners advise that, just as with cultivating tomatoes, summer residents who are going to grow peppers should save their own seeds every year and not rush to chase new ones.

This means that 80% of the total seed volume should be from conventional varieties, and the remaining 20% from new varieties.
