Radish is a tasty and healthy vegetable. In addition, the fruits ripen early and allow you to enjoy vitamins already in the spring.
But when and how to plant this crop correctly?
The best dates, according to the lunar calendar, are March 3, 23-26, and 28-31.
But we must also take into account unfavorable days, on which it is definitely impossible to plant radishes, otherwise a good harvest cannot be expected. We are talking about March 7, 17-19, 20, 21 and 22.
Where to plant radishes
This crop loves sunny beds with loose and light soil of neutral or slightly acidic level.
The soil should be fertilized in advance.
Root crops respond well to organic matter. Rotted compost or humus will do. For each square meter, it is enough to take just a bucket of the product. After this procedure, it is advisable to dig up the soil to the depth of a bayonet shovel.
If you want the soil to warm up by the day of planting, you can cover the area with polyethylene film or white agrofibre a week before.
