The Dutch are considered masters in growing tulips and other bulbous plants.
Their experience is adopted by many flower lovers, and tourists flock to the Netherlands to admire the beauty with their own eyes and take lots of bright photos.

The Dutch plant bulbs so that flowers appear in the same place three times during the spring season. The planting material is sent to different depths.
So, for tulips, a hole of 15 cm is prepared. 50-60 bulbs are planted per 1 sq. m. Hyacinths are planted 10 cm deep. Crocuses follow. The depth is 5 cm, and the density is up to 100 bulbs per 1 sq. m.
Crocuses sprout before tulips and hyacinths, so they are given a higher place. They are followed by hyacinths, and tulips complete the "relay".
How to implement on your site
The Dutch climate allows you not to cover your plantings for the winter. In Eastern Europe, the conditions are more severe, so you will have to cover your future flowerbed.
First, you need to take a deeper container and fill it with soil. The bulbs are planted according to the Dutch scheme "tulips - hyacinths - crocuses". The filled container is buried, thoroughly covered with soil and branches.
Everything remains like this until spring. When the weather gets warm, the container needs to be dug up. The plants in such a "vase" will delight you with their bloom until the beginning of summer.
