Carrots are first and foremost a vegetable, and only then a source of vitamins, nutrients and, in general, a culinary ingredient.

That's why many people mistakenly believe that the vegetable shouldn't be particularly sweet - you can't make jam from root vegetables. And in vain.

For example, carrots can be used to make excellent puree or juice, which are indispensable in baby and dietary nutrition.

So, if you liked the idea of growing sweet and juicy carrots, then save the recipe for nutritious feeding.

How to feed carrots

Here we need to take into account one characteristic feature of the root vegetable. Carrots absorb nitrates, which reduces the usefulness factor.

In this case, it would be wiser to pay attention to organic or folk recipes.

An excellent option is wood ash. It contains potassium, which is responsible for taste (juiciness and sweetness), as well as phosphorus, without which the vegetable will grow poorly and will not reach serious sizes.

So, take 200 grams of wood ash, dissolve it in 10 liters of clean, settled water and leave for 3 days.

Then strain the infusion and use it once every 10 days.

There is a faster recipe, when 200 g of ash is boiled in 3 liters of water, infused for 6 hours, then the concentrate is filtered and diluted in 10 liters of water.
