Apricots are no longer exotic in a summer cottage, but a common fruit tree, like a cherry or an apple tree.

The only difference is that the fruits often grow not as large as desired. But this circumstance can be influenced by competent agricultural technology. Here are 4 important apricot fertilizing.

First feeding

It is carried out in April or early May. At this time, the tree is in dire need of nitrogen-potassium supplements. For this, a solution is prepared from 1 tbsp. of potassium sulfate and 2 tbsp. of urea per 10 liters of water. Consumption is 5 buckets per tree older than 5 years.
If you use ash, you will have to add no less than 1 kg. It must be added dry to moist soil.

Second feeding

It is carried out on the leaf during the period of ovary formation using a soluble universal mineral fertilizer according to the instructions.

Third feeding

It is carried out in mid-August after harvesting. Only phosphorus and potassium are added to help the tree recover and prepare for winter.

The solution is prepared from 1 tbsp. of potassium sulfate and 2 tbsp. of double superphosphate per 10 liters of hot water. Consumption is 3-4 buckets per tree older than 5 years.

Again, you can add wood ash.

Fourth feeding

It is carried out in mid-autumn with seasonal mineral, but more often organic fertilizers. In the latter case, compost or humus is used, which is distributed in the trunk zone, covered with peat or mulch from straw or leaves.

This method protects apricots from seasonal cold.
