What to water cabbage with so that there is no trace of caterpillars left: no harm, but the benefit is obvious

It is difficult for gardeners to keep track of all the beds on their summer cottage plot.

Not everyone finds time to run to the cabbage plantings and check the situation.

However, lost time will result in irreparable disaster. If you let things slide, you may find gnawed skeletons instead of heads of cabbage and a multitude of caterpillars in the beds.

If there is no time left to use store-bought chemicals, and plants need to be protected, then folk remedies should be used.

They are probably not as strong as chemical ones, but they do not cause much damage, and the benefits are obvious.

How to protect cabbage from caterpillars

1. Let's try to prepare ash infusion. It is quite easy to make, and the ingredients are always at hand.

It is enough to dilute one glass of ash in four liters of water and leave it for 2 days under a closed lid.

Before use, add a little liquid soap to the composition so that the beneficial solution sticks better to the leaves.

2. You can also use cabbage leaves. The lower ones should be used to cover the head of cabbage, tucking in the other leaves. In this case, you will have to check every day, lifting the torn leaves and removing the caterpillars that have gathered there manually.

3. An interesting way to use tomato tops in cabbage beds. Tomato leaves are laid out on cabbage beds and changed from time to time.

The specific smell of the tops will quickly scare away pests.
