But to do this you need to know a few simple tricks that will even surprise you.
The thing is that this crop loves water more than fertilizers. And it is important not to forget about it.
There are two periods in which it is especially necessary to water the beds. If you miss them, the harvest will be poor.
When to water potatoes
If the vegetable was planted in May, it will have enough moisture until about mid-June. If the weather is dry later, the plants will experience a moisture deficit. Therefore, at the beginning of flowering, the beds should be watered generously.
For about one and a half hundred square meters it should take about 800 liters.
It would not be superfluous to add two glasses of azofoska and potassium sulfate to this amount of water. But such agents should be added during the second watering, if the weather is dry for a long time. In this case, the beds should be watered after flowering.
