A penny spice will help deal with aphids and caterpillars: pests will forget the way to your garden

Just one penny spice can greatly help out a gardener in the fight against caterpillars and aphids.

Summer residents who have lost hope of dealing with these parasites and whose hands have involuntarily reached for chemicals should buy a couple of packs of hot pepper. The pests will forget the way to the garden.

Aphids can settle on stone fruit crops, viburnum, elderberry, and from there migrate to the vegetable garden or other plantings.

At a time when the parasite’s natural enemies – ladybugs – are still dormant somewhere, aphids can cause significant damage to the future harvest.

You can wash off the parasites with water, but it is easier to immediately hit the insect with a solution of hot pepper.

How to carry out processing

To prepare a hot solution against aphids and caterpillars, you need to dissolve 50 grams of red hot pepper in 1 liter of water.

Then bring the solution to a boil and simmer over low heat for an hour, then leave to infuse for a day, covered with a lid.

The finished concentrate must be diluted in a ratio of 1:10 and sprayed onto bushes, trees and other problem areas.

It is important to carefully treat the leaves and shoots from all sides, since insects often hide on the back side of the leaves.
