With this trick, summer residents get currant seedlings by summer.

Some gardeners, waiting for the new season, stock up on currant seedlings.

While adult bushes fill summer residents with harvest, they plant new plants. In a couple of seasons, they will also please with tasty and healthy berries.

One-year-old shoots are suitable for propagation. They are easy to identify – they are lighter than others. The cutting should be light, not black.

Each shoot is divided into parts of approximately 20 cm. It is better not to use the top, as it produces the weakest cuttings or may not take root at all.

For one cutting take about 1 liter of water. It is better to use filtered or settled. Dissolve 1 teaspoon of honey in water.

The cutting is lowered into such water to about 1/3 of its height. The plants are placed on the most illuminated windowsill.

The cuttings will delight you with their first roots in a month or a little later. Everything depends on the quality of the shoots, lighting and water.
