It is very difficult to imagine a summer cottage without apple trees. However, not all growers who have apple trees planted in their gardens can boast of an outstanding harvest.
It also happens that trees refuse to bloom. The expert of the online publication Belnovosti, agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh told what are the reasons for this undoubtedly unpleasant phenomenon.
1. When choosing seedlings, you should approach the choice of varieties with full responsibility.
If the apple tree is heat-loving, you should not be surprised why it does not bloom in cold conditions.
2. The location chosen for placing the tree is no less important.
The lack of flowering may be due to crops growing nearby.
3. Forgot about care? Forget about flowering too.
It is not enough to simply plant an apple tree near your home – the plant, like any other crop, needs watering, fertilizing and pruning.
4. The apple tree is sick or attacked by insect pests.
Perhaps the most common reason why you will not be able to admire a blooming apple orchard and inhale its intoxicating aroma is due to diseases or pests.
