In order to obtain high-quality pepper seedlings that guarantee a bountiful harvest in the future, it is worthwhile to pre-treat the seeds and then germinate them.

To soak the seed material, you can use, for example, a solution of potassium permanganate, in which it should be left for 20 minutes.

The next step is soaking in a stimulating solution. To do this, the grains are usually placed in 3% hydrogen peroxide for 15 minutes.

Finally, you can start sprouting.

To do this, pour the seeds onto a cotton pad and place them in a plastic plate, then moisten them thoroughly with warm water.

Cover the container with cling film and leave it in a warm place for a few days. Thanks to this simple method, pepper seeds germinate in 3-5 days.

If you can’t wait to see the sprouts, you can use a little trick – this way the seeds will sprout the very next day after soaking.

To do this, you will need to carefully cut off the seed tip. You should act very carefully to avoid damaging the seed.
