Asters will bloom much earlier if you perform simple manipulations with seedlings in the spring.
Experienced gardeners use these simple steps year after year to ensure that their seedlings grow strong and healthy.
Such seedlings will turn into powerful flowers that will decorate the garden until the frost.
For seeds, prepare soil, which consists of regular soil, sand and humus (equal proportions). In addition, perlite and ash are added to the mixture (200 g per bucket of soil).
The planting material must be treated with a fungicide. It will protect the seedlings from fungal diseases. Asters are sown in moist soil, but it is important not to overdo it with watering.
The seedlings need a well-lit place, but it should be cool - no higher than +15 °C. If these conditions are not met, the seedlings will stretch out.
Aster responds well to fertilizers. The plant loves fertilizing, so it can be applied 10 days after planting in open ground. For 1 sq. m, apply 50 g of potassium sulfate, saltpeter and superphosphate.
