When to plant onions according to the lunar calendar: they will grow to the size of an apple

The weather forecast plays a big role. But summer residents also choose a favorable date according to the lunar calendar.

Many gardeners plant onions. It is as popular a crop as tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, garlic or carrots.

To grow an onion the size of an apple, you need more than just fertilizing. Watering and soil play an important role, but it doesn't stop there.

Planting seedlings

In 2023, the most favorable days for transplanting onion seedlings to a permanent location are the following dates in March: 16, 17, 20, 22-25, 29, 30.

But the weather has the final say. It should be warm, and the soil temperature at a depth of 5 cm should be at least +10 °C. In unheated soil, onions may bolt.

Sowing seeds

In this case, you need to wait for the earth to warm up better. According to the lunar calendar, it is better to do this on April 16, 17, 21, 22, 25, 26.

There is an opportunity to do it later – in May. The following dates are ideal: 2-10, 13, 14. If you take into account the lunar calendar, weather, apply the right fertilizer and do not forget about watering, then the harvest will be magnificent.
