How to Increase Apple Harvest: Here's What Procedure Trees Need
Gardeners who do this procedure at least once a year are never left without a rich harvest.
Cultivated plants need care and attention from humans, otherwise the garden or vegetable garden will quickly fall into decay.
Apple trees, for example, need pruning. A few seasons without this procedure, and the trees will be unrecognizable, and the fruits will be counted on the fingers.
Trees are pruned in late autumn or early spring, when the trees are bare and sap flow has not begun.
How to prune an apple tree
1. First, remove dry, broken and diseased branches with pruning shears or a saw. Trim at the base, leaving no stump on the trunk.
2. Then comes the branches that grow inside the crown. They look healthy. It seems that they can produce a harvest.
In fact, they only thicken the tree and do not bear fruit. They also take away nutrition that could have gone into forming the harvest.
3. All cuts with a diameter exceeding 1 cm are covered with garden paint or varnish. This measure protects trees from penetration of pathogenic microorganisms.
