Properly organized watering is of great importance for the well-being of seedlings.
An expert of the online publication Belnovosti, agronomist, and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh told us what kind of water is suitable for this purpose.
The plant will be able to absorb water easily and fully if it has a low content of salts and various impurities. Hence the conclusion - the water should be soft.
Liquid collected from a clean river or lake is considered ideal, as well as water obtained during rain or as a result of melting snow.
If this is not possible and you have to make do with hard water from the tap, it should be prepared before use.
The preparation process is simple and consists of leaving the liquid to stand for 2 days, pouring it into an open container – this way you will be able to get rid of the chlorine.
However, settling is not able to solve such a problem as the presence of salts, so you will have to pass hard water through a filter specially created for this purpose.
Alternatively, you can use clean bottled water.
