Geranium may start to shed its leaves during the cold season. Flowers are no exception.

It becomes clear that the flower is clearly lacking something and it is time to analyze the situation. Here are the most common mistakes in caring for a houseplant.

Mistake #1

This is overwatering, which is terrible for most cultivated plants. It may also be the other way around, the fall of greenery on geraniums is associated with drought. It is desirable that the top layer of soil has time to dry out moderately in the intervals between waterings.

Mistake #2

Overdosing on fertilizers, as well as underdosing, leads to the same sad consequences. It is important to remember that indoor plants are fed in winter only during flowering, but they cannot be overfed.

Mistake #3

Flowers don't like bright sun rays either. It's better to keep the pot in partial shade, but in winter bright scorching sun is a rare occurrence.

Mistake #4

It is possible that the plant has outgrown the pot it is kept in and it is high time to replant it. But the pot should not be too big or too small – the geranium will not bloom, and in a small one it will wither.

Mistake #5

Dry air rising from heating devices can also be the cause. You need to either cover the radiators with a damp cloth or move the flowerpot to a more suitable place.
