If you don’t have a summer house where you can “let loose” in your own garden, or you just want to try vegetables grown by yourself before the summer season, you can try growing radishes right on your windowsill.

However, it is quite difficult to do this in winter, says Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , an expert of the online publication Belnovosti, an agronomist and landscape designer, since the crop requires a long daylight period of 12-14 hours.

Special lamps will help solve the problem, but you can do without them if you plant radishes from mid-to-late March.

For this purpose, gardeners recommend stocking up on seeds of the Celeste F1 variety.

Important: you should put the seeds in the ground in the morning or, at worst, during the day, but not at night - newly planted seeds need light.

In addition, you will need an egg tray, in the bottom of which you should make small holes.

Fill the cells with soil, compact and water, then place a seed in each of them, sprinkle with soil (approximately 0.5 cm) and spray with water from a spray bottle.

What else do you need to know? The operation will be successful provided that the room temperature is not lower than +18 degrees.

Don't forget to water the radishes, and you will be able to harvest your first crop in 18-22 days.
