Fertilizing the soil should begin in the fall, and spot fertilizing should be done in the spring.
Do not use manure as it can cause suckers and blossom end rot.
Many people use fish, minced fish or fish meal as fertilizer when planting tomatoes. One teaspoon is enough for each hole, but for a better effect, add another tablespoon of crushed wood ash and a teaspoon of superphosphate.
• After planting the seedlings, mulch the beds with a 7 to 10 cm layer of fresh grass.
• This type of feed does not attract cats, moles or mice because it disintegrates very quickly.
• Ash is a moderate deoxidizer, a source of potassium and many microelements.
Grass mulch protects the bed from drying out and forming a surface crust that prevents air from getting in. Then you can periodically add liquid fertilizer to the water for irrigation.
The supply of nutrients will be sufficient to obtain a bountiful and long-lasting harvest.
