Many summer residents are eagerly awaiting the start of the new season, so they try to sow early varieties of their favorite vegetables.
Radish is no exception. This crop sprouts in a couple of days, and the harvest can be collected in about 3-4 weeks.
But in practice, there are a number of nuances. In order for everything to go smoothly, you need to remember some points, because radishes also require attention.
Radish will sprout vigorously if the ambient temperature is constantly within +15 …+20 °C. The plant can withstand a temporary drop to 0 …+2 °C.
To have the harvest on the table by the end of April, you need to sow in a greenhouse.
The soil must be prepared in advance. Ideally, this should be done in the fall. The soil is fertilized with superphosphate and potassium chloride - 40 g and 15 g per 1 sq. m.
Not every radish will give the desired result. Early vitamins are obtained thanks to these varieties:
To ensure that the seeds sprout as quickly as possible, they are first germinated in water. First, they need to be soaked in warm water for several hours, then wrapped in gauze and placed in a warm place.
The sprouted seeds are planted to a depth of 1 cm at a distance of 5 cm from each other. If necessary, thinning can be carried out later. The distance between seedlings should always be 3-5 cm.
