After this treatment you will not find white and hard veins in tomatoes: advice from knowledgeable gardeners

It often happens that beautiful-looking tomatoes turn out to be literally inedible.

The reason is the white fibers that extend from the stalk.

This phenomenon, according to the expert of the online publication "Belnovosti", scientist-agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnaya , is possible due to an excess of organic nitrogen nutrition coupled with a lack of potassium, due to varietal characteristics or due to a disease known as stolbur.

Since the disease gets into the greenhouse with imported soil or purchased seedlings, the solution is to remove a 5-10 cm layer of soil and fill it with new soil.

However, for obvious reasons, it is not always possible to carry out such manipulations. In this case, the soil should be etched.

Prepare a bright pink solution of potassium permanganate and water the entire greenhouse with it.

This should be done 3-4 times 2 months before planting seedlings.

After this, it is necessary to populate the soil in the greenhouse with “smart” microflora, that is, to water it with any well-proven biopreparation - phytosporin, alirin, etc.

You won’t be able to do without new good soil at all – try to get at least 3-4 buckets and fill the greenhouse with them.
