Every keen gardener strives to place on the windowsill at least plants that many consider exotic.
You won't surprise anyone with violets and ficuses, but a banana tree can arouse genuine interest.
It turned out that the plant cutting can be easily obtained from a store-bought fruit. Wild bananas, which are small in size, are suitable for this purpose. Large hybrid fruits are not suitable for this purpose.
Bananas are placed in a bag and left to ripen for 2-3 days in a warm place. As soon as the peel darkens, you can remove it and look for dark seeds near the stalk.
They are carefully removed with a knife and immediately spread on strips of thin paper. A low container is filled with nutritious soil.
The top layer of soil is sprayed from a spray bottle, and then the seeds are placed in the ground and lightly sprinkled with soil.
Next, the seedlings need to be provided with favorable conditions. The container with seeds is placed next to a warm radiator and covered with cling film.
Then all that remains is to water periodically and wait for seedlings to appear in a few weeks.
