Raspberry is an unpretentious plant that can grow in any soil, but requires, like other berry plants, care, because it quickly becomes overgrown with young shoots, which can ultimately affect its yield.

Therefore, to get a good harvest of raspberries, you need not only proper care and proper planting.

Choosing the best landing site

The best place to plant raspberries is the southern or southwestern side of the plot.

Preparing the planting hole

It is better to plant raspberry bushes in rows or bushes. Dig planting holes measuring 50x50x50 cm and a distance of 70-80 cm between them with row spacing of 1.5-2 meters.

Raspberry fertilizing

In autumn, add the following to 1 planting hole:

  • humus or compost - 2 buckets;
  • superphosphate - 30 grams;
  • Potassium sulfate - 20 grams.

Planting raspberries

Place a mixture of fertilizers at the bottom of the planting hole, mix everything well and add 5 cm of soil on top so as not to burn the plant roots.

Pour in 10 liters of water, wait until it is absorbed, and lower the raspberry bush to the bottom of the hole, straighten the roots and wrap it with soil.

Then compact the soil well around the plant, water it from above and cover it with humus or compost.

It is advisable to repeat the next watering 2-3 days after planting.
