As you know, a number of methods can be used to propagate ficus.
But, according to the expert of the online publication Belnovosti, scientist-agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , cuttings are the simplest option that will allow you to become the owner of a new flower from the one you already have.
It should be noted that this method is most suitable for deciduous varieties of ficus, including Ficus Benjamina.
Please note that cuttings should be used if the plant is already two years old.
So, first, select a healthy cutting - it can be located either at the top of the tree or on the stem, separate it with a sharp tool, making a cut at an angle.
The cut area should be washed with water and left for a while to dry.
Place the shoot in a suitable container filled with water. The container with the cutting should be placed in a warm place with a temperature of about +24 degrees - here it will have to stay for about 3-4 weeks.
You can transplant the plant into a pot as soon as you are sure that its root system has strengthened and new leaves have appeared on the shoot.
