Not all orchid lovers are ready to spend money on expensive fertilizers that are sold in specialized stores.
An expert of the online publication Belnovosti, agronomist, and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh told how thrifty gardeners act in such a case.
It turns out that you can replace the expensive fertilizer with just water and lemon.
If you suddenly don’t have fresh citrus on hand, don’t be upset. Citric acid powder will be an equivalent replacement.
To begin, fill a liter jar with warm water and add a teaspoon of lemon juice (1 g of lemon juice).
Mix the resulting mixture thoroughly and use it for root watering.
It is recommended to moisten the soil in orchid pots with this solution no more than twice a month.
Important: Before you start watering, make sure that the prepared fertilizer is slightly warmer than room temperature.
