It is no secret that the future harvest of a particular crop is directly related to the type of soil used for seedlings.

An expert of the online publication Belnovosti, agronomist, and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh said that the main components of seedling soil are earth, peat, and sand.

In addition, it contains additional components in the form of mullein, ash, sawdust, lime, chalk and mineral fertilizers.

The additives and their quantities depend on the specific crop in question.

So, if we talk about tomatoes, gardeners have two recipes for preparing soil that will provide plants with everything they need for growth, development and, of course, fruiting.

So, you can mix 4 parts of peat, 1 part of turf soil and ¼ part of cow dung. For every 10 kg of the resulting mixture, add 3 kg of river sand, 10 g of ammonium nitrate, 2-3 g of superphosphate and 1-1.5 g of potassium chloride.

For another option, you will need to mix equal parts of humus, peat, turf soil and rotted brown wood sawdust.

For each bucket of the resulting mixture, add 1.5 cups of wood ash, 3 tablespoons of superphosphate, 1 tablespoon of potassium sulfate and 1 teaspoon of urea.
