Onions are actively used in cooking and are also considered a healthy product. Therefore, many summer residents try to grow this crop themselves in order to make dishes more delicious and interesting at any time.
Growing vegetables is quite easy, but the quantity and quality of the harvest can be increased if you know some tricks from experienced gardeners.
Before planting, the seed material should be soaked for three hours in a solution of a liter of water and a tablespoon of salt.
After this, the onion must be placed in a dark solution of potassium permanganate for two hours, and then it must be thoroughly washed.
Next, you need to make sure that the onion fly does not attack the plantings. As soon as the first leaf appears, you need to first water the beds with clean water, and then with a solution of a bucket of water and 2 tablespoons of ammonia (ammonium chloride salt).
After two weeks, you can repeat the procedure, but this time you should dilute only 1 spoon of the pharmacy product in a liter of clean water.
The third procedure is carried out after a week and a half. The plantings should be watered with a strong solution of potassium permanganate.
You shouldn't forget about fertilizing either. It's easy to do. You need to dilute 100 grams of yeast in a bucket of water, and water the onion a couple of hours later. After 24 hours, you need to water the plantings generously with clean water.
Once the harvest is collected, it should be dried well and only then sent for storage.
