Experienced flower growers have told us how to release the full potential of violets so that they bloom all year round.

Fertilizers play a significant role in this. The plant needs nutrition not only to develop harmoniously, but also to grow new buds.

The lush flowering of violets depends on two macroelements – phosphorus and potassium. The plant can obtain the necessary components from complex fertilizers, which can be found in garden stores.

To avoid getting lost in the huge assortment, just look for a product marked “for violets”.

Fertilizers are applied under the root, but make sure that the liquid does not get on the leaves. Even when watering with ordinary water, you need to follow this rule. Violets do not like moisture on the leaves.

Folk remedies have proven themselves quite well. For example, a yeast-based solution. A tablespoon of the product is poured into 2 tbsp. of water, and then infused for 2 hours. After that, water is added in a ratio of 1:5.

Wood ash is also used for watering. For each liter of water, take 1 tbsp. of the product, dilute and apply under the root.
