If for one reason or another the seedlings have outgrown their roots, then when planting them in a greenhouse or open ground, certain rules should be followed.

How experienced summer residents act in this case was explained by an expert of the online publication "Belnovosti", agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh .

The holes for such seedlings should be deeper than usual. The seedlings are planted at an angle of 40-45 degrees, with the roots facing south.

Deepen the plants to the leaves - additional roots will form on the part of the stem that is in the soil.

After some time, the plant will straighten up and begin to develop according to the traditional scenario.

These are the general recommendations. In the case of tomatoes, however, different scenarios are possible.

Since this crop is considered “hardy,” gardeners are confident that it will survive any manipulation, for example, cutting into pieces and planting as cuttings.

It is allowed to plant tomato bushes “lying down”, deepening them to the very top leaves.

Finally, you can cut off the tops of the seedlings and place them in water to wait for roots to form.
